The updated seva.sk website reflects the broader scope of our activities. We are launching the SEVA Academy professional training platform and giving greater prominence within our automotive activities to digitalization, software-defined vehicles, and autonomy.
SEVA Academy: Expert Content in One Place
Over the years that SEVA has been in operation, we have produced dozens of professional articles, manuals, reports, podcasts, videos, webinars, and other materials. Until now, these have been published chronologically and in various locations on the website, so it wasn’t always easy to find older materials. SEVA Academy now brings this professional and educational content together in one place and organizes it by topic.
Visitors can filter posts by their areas of interest—such as Batteries, Charging, Energy, Industry, or Autonomy. The goal is to make it easier for them to access relevant information, whether they’re looking for a short article, a technical manual, an interview, a video, or a podcast.
SEVA Academy will continue to grow alongside the new content we’re preparing. We want to turn it into a practical educational platform for companies, industry professionals, local governments, the media, and anyone who wants to form an informed opinion on electromobility and the entire ecosystem surrounding it.
Digitalization and Autonomy: Another Layer of Automotive Transformation
SEVA Business Hubs are thematically focused platforms that connect SEVA’s expert content and activities with the practical experiences of our members and partners. We are developing four interconnected areas: Electric Vehicles in Businesses, Electric Freight Transport, the Automotive and Battery Industry, and Digitalization and Autonomy. We are now significantly expanding the latter on our website with topics related to software-defined and autonomous vehicles.
Software, data, and autonomy are transforming both the car and the entire industry, with the electric platform serving as their foundation. Electrification, software-defined vehicles, and automated driving are not three separate technological paths, but three layers of a single transformation. The electric platform forms the hardware foundation; the software-defined architecture represents the vehicle’s digital brain; and automated and autonomous driving are gradually being developed on top of it.
These are exceptionally important issues for Slovakia. Our country has one of the strongest automotive manufacturing bases in the world, but the next stage of the transformation will not be decided solely in the production halls. An increasingly large portion of a car’s value is generated by software, data, electronics, and digital services.
We want to further strengthen our efforts to connect the various components of the electromobility ecosystem, share expertise, and develop topics that are shaping the future of the automotive industry through SEVA Business Hubs. Therefore, we are seeking commercial partners who wish to integrate their expertise and solutions with SEVA’s content. Partnerships may include webinars, podcasts, case studies, publications, or other formats depending on the specific topic and the partner’s focus.
V4SDV Connect: From Expert Focus to Concrete Collaboration
Part of these activities is the international V4SDV Connect project, which SEVA is implementing together with partners from Poland and Hungary with the support of the International Visegrad Fund.
It focuses on software-defined and autonomous vehicles and aims to help connect industry, experts, and public institutions in the Central European region. Topics to be explored within the project will include, among others, legislation, automotive data, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, and the conditions for testing and operating autonomous vehicles.
V4SDV Connect thus takes SEVA’s long-standing focus on the technological transformation of the automotive industry into another concrete international collaboration. Digitalization and autonomy are not a departure from electromobility for us, but its natural continuation—another layer in the transformation of the vehicle and the automotive industry as a whole.
