Companies WeRide, Uber and AVOMO have obtained Spain’s first nationwide permit to operate passenger vehicles with Level 4 autonomy on public roads. The permit allows preparation for deployment, mapping, route verification and readiness testing; the initial phase envisages 20 WeRide GXR vehicles under the supervision of a specialist in the vehicle in the wider Madrid region.
