In July 2023, Austrian Post announced CO2-free delivery in Salzburg. There are now 193 electronic vehicles driving around the city delivering parcels, letters and other items. The e-vehicles use green electricity from Austrian Post's photovoltaic systems and from Austrian green energy. Salzburg is the third city after Graz and Innsbruck to have CO2-neutral deliveries.
