MAN is the first European commercial vehicle manufacturer to demonstrate bidirectional charging of an electric truck in real-world operation. In the SPIRIT-E project, the electric truck is transformed into a mobile energy storage unit. MAN highlights three main applications: powering other vehicles, company premises, or the public grid. MAN estimates that smart energy management can reduce electricity costs by 10 to 20%.
