A study by Agora Verkehrswende and Prognos shows that Germany can achieve climate neutrality in transport by 2045 at no additional cost if it takes immediate action. Otherwise, an additional €500 billion will be needed. The reference scenario assumes that the targets will not be met and that 590 million tonnes of CO2 will be emitted by 2045.
