MAN has developed a fully electric city bus for automated operation in Munich. The Lion’s City 12 E features an automated driving system from ADASTEC and, following tests at the manufacturer’s facility, is set to be tested by MVG in city traffic starting in the fall of 2026. It uses 5 LiDAR sensors, 6 radars, 8 cameras, and GNSS.
