The European Commission will soon launch calls for projects to improve the EU's supply of essential mineral raw materials and plans joint purchasing of raw materials, modelled on the gas scheme. The EU's Critical Raw Materials Regulation aims to secure the supply of lithium, copper and other raw materials for the EU's green and digital transition and reduce dependence on China.
