December 2023 saw the first decline in battery EV sales since the peak of the COVID-19 pandemic in April 2020. 160,700 units sold represents a 16.9% year-on-year decline. Nevertheless, 1.5 million EVs were sold in 2023, 37% more than in 2022. BEVs' share of sales reached 14.6% in 2023. Source
