The expansion of energy infrastructure is one of the most important priorities of any modern state. As the world seeks to divest from fossil fuels, electricity is becoming the driving force behind this transformation. Slovakia faces major challenges related to this transition.
It is about securing stable and efficient energy sources not only for electromobility, but also for heat pumps, air conditioning and energy-intensive industry, which has been declining in Slovakia in recent years due to low competitiveness on international markets.
Distribution networks are the veins of this energy rEVolution. However, our infrastructure is outdated and unprepared for the conditions of an open European electricity market. We therefore need to modernise our networks.
