SEVA WEBINAR: ESG and electromobility

Tuesday 26 November 2024 at 10.00 a.m.

We cordially invite you to the webinar of the Slovak Association for Electromobility, which we have prepared in cooperation with the gold partner of the SEVA business hub Electric Vehicles in Companies – KIA Sales Slovakia.

In addition to the existing financial assessment of companies in Europe, which we typically know in the form of audited annual reports, mandatory non-financial ESG reporting has been added.

Non-financial ESG reporting is the measurement of the intangible parameters that a particular firm imposes on its environment. This type of reporting was introduced by the European Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD), which came into force in January 2023. ESG reporting requires companies to collect specialized information on their compliance with environmental, social and governance standards from 2024. Importantly from an EV perspective, this reporting also includes uniform non-financial reporting standards under which companies will report to the public and shareholders on the sustainability of their business in terms of environmental impact and social responsibility.

Data collection for ESG reporting is mandatory from January 2025 for large companies with more than 250 employees and assets of more than €20m and/or revenues of more than €40m. However, the important fact is that non-financial ESG criteria are already affecting small and medium-sized companies in the supply chain, as large clients and outsourcers are demanding the same standards from them. It therefore becomes important for almost all companies to familiarize themselves with the ESG concept and to check with their customers whether the collection of the necessary data is also important for them today or in the near future.
