Volvo Cars introduces the world's first battery passport that tracks the origin of raw materials, components, recycled content and carbon footprint. The passport will be mandatory for all electric cars sold in the EU from February 2027 and will contain information on the composition of batteries, including the origin of key materials, their carbon footprint and recycled content.
