SEVA in cooperation with the Ministry of Economy of the Slovak Republic organized a round table where we discussed the preparation of specific changes in the legislation. The aim was to introduce tax measures to support electromobility. The discussion continued on the topics of the Action Plan for Electromobility, which was approved by the government before the summer. This plan, which we have been working on for more than a year, must now be turned into concrete laws and decrees.
Twenty experts from various ministries and organisations, including the Slovak Ministry of Labour, Social Affairs and Family, the Slovak Financial Administration, the Association of Industrial Unions and Transport, the Association of the Automotive Industry of the Slovak Republic and others, sat around the table. The main objective was to promote discussion on the specific wording of the legislation and to jointly discuss the details of tax measures aimed at promoting electric cars as business vehicles.
We discussed a number of legislative proposals, including adjustments to the employee income tax on the use of a company electric car, unification of the length of depreciation for all categories of electric vehicles, rules for charging a company electric car, and adjustments to the employee’s non-monetary income. SEVA is committed to working steadfastly to implement these measures in order to make real progress in the field of electromobility in Slovakia.
